Chris Bobel (PhD) talks about how the distorted and negative mainstream menstrual discourse reflects and reinforces social inequalities and about how menstrual activism works to change our understanding of our bodies. Bobel is the Associate Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies in the University of Massachusetss, Boston and the President of the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research.
