Kallion Hoviseura järjestää jälleen 2025 Ropeconin yhteydessä kilpailullisen Commander-turnauksen (cEDH) niille, jotka nauttivat formaatin tehokkaimmista korteista sekä pakoista. Tapahtuma tuo yhteen kokeneita pelaajia ja tarjoaa mahdollisuuden mitellä taidoista hyvässä hengessä. Lämpimästi tervetuloa!
Huom: turnaus jakautuu Ropeconin ohjelmassa tänä vuonna kahteen osaan!
- Swiss Open on avoin osuus turnauksesta, jossa kaikki osallistujat pelaavat 2–3 kierrosta.

Turnauksen voimataso vastaa Bracket 5 -tasoa Commander Brackets -järjestelmän mukaan (https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/introducing-commander-brackets-beta). Noudatamme selkeitä moninpelikäytäntöjä reilun pelin ja turnausrytmin varmistamiseksi. Ole ajoissa, vältä ulkopuolista vaikutusta peliin, ja pelaa peli loppuun asti.
Näistä sovellamme erityisesti seuraavia käytäntöjä:
- Korttien näyttämistä ei suositella, mutta siitä ei rangaista
- Pelaajia kehotetaan olemaan luovuttamatta / scooppaamatta, mutta sitä ei voida estää. Scooppaamisesta saa automaattisesti häviön ja menettää mahdollisuuden tasapelipisteisiin
- Myöhästyminen: 10 minuutin jälkeen match loss, 20 minuutin jälkeen pudotus turnauksesta
- Pelistä pudonneet tai ulkopuoliset eivät saa vaikuttaa peliin; voi johtaa turnauksesta putoamiseen
- Pelin hävinneet pelaajat voivat poistua pöydästä, mutta ovat silti osa peliä (esim. tasapelin osalta)
- 90 minuutin roundit, jonka jälkeen peli päättyy välittömästi tasapeliin
- Lahjonta ja sopimuksien tekeminen voi johtaa turnauksesta putoamiseen (MTR 5.2)
Turnausrakenne:
- 12–15 pelaajaa: 2 kierrosta -> Top 4 Finals
- 16–32 pelaajaa: 3 kierrosta -> Top 4 Finals
- Turnaus pelataan Swiss-rakenteella https://topdeck.gg/ -ohjelmistolla.
Pisteytys:
- Voitto: 3 pistettä
- Tasapeli: 1 piste (myös aiemmin pelissä hävinneet pelaajat saavat pisteen)
- Häviö: 0 pistettä
- Bye: 3 pistettä
Kierrosten aikarajat:
- Yksi pelikierros kestää 90 minuuttia, jonka jälkeen välittömästi tasapeli.

Varustautuminen:

- Elämäpisteiden ja muiden laskettavien seuraamiseen voi käyttää noppia tai paperia
- Suosittelemme noppien tai paperin käyttöä elämäpisteiden seuraamiseen, sillä puhelinsovelluksiin liittyy usein käytännön riskejä kuten akun loppuminen tai sovelluksen kaatuminen
Alterit:
- Sallitut, kunhan noudattavat MTR 3.3 -sääntöjä (https://blogs.magicjudges.org/rules/mtr3-3/): artin tunnistettavuus, ei strategisia vinkkejä tai loukkaavaa sisältöä, näkyvissä oltava vähintään kortin nimi, mana cost sekä power/toughness.
Playtest-kortit (proxyt):
- Sallittuja ja suositeltavia
- Vähintään näkyvissä: kortin nimi, mana cost, säännöt (tyypit, tekstilaatikko, power/toughness)
- Taidetta ei vaadita, mutta se on suositeltavaa
- Ulkoasun tulee noudattaa samoja sääntöjä kuin altereissa
Tauotus:
- Yksi 60 minuutin ruokatauko (roundin 2 jälkeen)
- Ruokailumahdollisuuksia löytyy Messukeskuksesta (esim. Hesburger) ja kauppakeskus Triplasta

Kallion Hoviseura once again hosts a competitive Commander (cEDH) tournament at Ropecon 2025 for those who enjoy playing with the most powerful decks the format has to offer. We follow clear multiplayer conduct guidelines to ensure fair play and smooth pacing throughout the tournament. Please be on time, avoid outside influence on games, and play matches to their natural conclusion.
Key rule highlights from relating to commander:
- Revealing cards from hand is discouraged but not penalized
- Players are encouraged not to concede/scoop; scooping results in a loss and forfeits tie points
- Being late: match loss after 10 minutes, disqualification after 20 minutes
- Outside assistance (e.g. eliminated or other outside players speaking about the game) is not allowed and may result in penalties or disqualification
- Eliminated players may leave the table but are still part of the game (e.g. for tie scoring)
- Bribery and deal-making is not allowed and may lead to disqualification (MTR 5.2.)
Tournament structure
- 12–15 players: 2 rounds
- 16–32 players: 3 rounds
- The tournament will use Swiss pairing with the help of https://topdeck.gg/
Scoring
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point (including for eliminated players)
- Loss: 0 points
- Bye: 3 points
Round timing
- Each round lasts 90 minutes, after which the game will immediately be a draw
Player cap: 12–32 players
What to bring
- A Commander-legal deck
- Dice or paper for tracking life totals and other counters
- We recommend using physical life counters (dice or paper), as phone apps can crash, run out of battery, or be taken away if the owner leaves the game
Alters

- Artwork must be recognizable, card name, mana cost, card type and power/toughness must be visible, and no strategic hints or offensive content may be present
Playtest cards (proxies)
- Fully allowed and encouraged
- Must clearly show: card name, mana cost, rules text (types, textbox, power/toughness)
- Artwork is optional but recommended
- Must comply with the same visual rules as alters
Breaks
- One 60 minute meal break, between rounds 2 & 3
- Food options are available at Messukeskus (e.g. Hesburger) and nearby Mall of Tripla
Finals are their own program, where Swiss participants will be directed after the Swiss rounds.
