Has it come the time to add New Worlds to your interstellar empire, and want to know what that actually entails and all the problems you are most likely going to run into? Come listen to this lecture and at least you'll know some of the problems you can try to sidestep in your interplanetary conquest spree and get some boots on the ground and hopefully not get all them killed in during the orbital drop.

This lecture will go through what is needed for planetary invasion in general, some hard requirements, and some things that will make life much easier for the invader, as well as what the defender can do to make life for the invader as difficult as possible. Even though we are discussing horrible situations where there would be millions if not billions of people on both sides killed, we try not to dwell on any particular gruosome acts, and remain on a more academic point of view on tactical, operational, and strategic levels of the military excercise. The intention is to provide material for players, game masters, and designers that want to use the theme in their own games.

Content warnings: Horrors of War in general, although the point isn't to dwell on them.
