"Let's have a small city here, Diapolis, that really hates Hogswords, a big city over there, and then after we take over the government of Diapolis we can infiltrate the big city!! Awesome!"
We will play as a group of friends and adventurers in a fantasy world filled with cute frog people and strange magic shrines to the Old Gods. The story will be created by all of us as we move through it, nobody knows what will happen until the final scene is played!
The world we will play in is as large as our collective imagination. In this game of Daggerheart we will quickly create relevant locations and problems for our characters to play around with. Those characters will be ready to play, but you can add your own flavor to them with goals, hopes and dreams or deep rooted fears. A couple of examples will be provided at the table as well. The world, the characters' problems and desires will form the story elements for the whole game. Once the setup is done, we will start the story by building from these story elements, letting them interact, change and grow. When we let our imagination take the lead these loose threads and random ideas will become stronger, funnier and more important. By the end of the story most of the separate pieces will have formed into a nice picture, our story.
