Like last year's event, this year's Charred Axle experience will include demo games on Friday and Saturday. If there are enough participants, there will be a large Battle Royal style game held on Sunday in which up to 8 players can all fight it out to be crowned the Ropecon 2024 Charred Axle Champion. There will also be an opportunity to go head-to-head against the horrific monstrocity known as the Terror Worm! Anyone who can fell the beast will be awarded a prize! ------------- Set in a distant star system called Tarapor, Charred Axle is a turn-based, sci-fi, miniature, tabletop game that allows players to build custom vehicles, known as ‘Rigs’, to be pitted against each other in a contest of arena combat.
To win Favour with the spectators, you'll have to put on a show, and a surefire way to do that is to take your opponents out of the running, showing the fans you mean to go all the way. Arm your Rig with a combination of weaponry from the Charred Axle Armories, which contain over 20 unique and customisable weapons.
Participants wishing to try Charred Axle can choose from a selection of ready-made Legendary Rigs that are piloted by characters from the Charred Axle universe. There will be a chance to read some of the lore surrounding the game and the history of the star system it is set in. Original Charred Axle miniatures will be on display that can be played with by the participants, as well as the chance to get a sneak peek at the rule book.
The theme of Charred Axle is futuristic, sci-fi vehicular combat. Rigs are armed with weapons used to fight their opponents.
