You have been summoned by two ancient gold dragons to stop him. The armies of good are besieging a volcano that the dragon brought with it. You are the absolute best of the best heroes that exist. You must slow down the arrogant dragon so that the armies of good can active a spell formation to banish him back to his home plane. If he fully materializes in the material plane, nothing will be able to stop him.
Facts about the game. Using spell wish to end the game isn't allowed. You can use wish for other purposes, The DM reserves final say in all matter concerning the use of wish. Infinite combos aren't going to work, think outside the box.
Character creation Make a level 20 character. All official material for 5E is allowed. The character can have one epic boon and any official magic items, this includes magic items like Tome of Clear Thought or artifacts, you cannot have multiples of the same item if the item is a artifact or one of a kind item. Stats are taken from standard array. You can use a online tool or paper character sheet to play and create your character. The character creation is based on trust. I won't check every players character sheet for foul play. You can ask me question before the game about character creation or the game in English or Finnish. There are two main purposes to this one shot. 1. to have high level d&d fun 2. to get to play the most broken characters imaginable *the game is NOT dm vs. the players, we are all in the same, side the side of having fun together.
Where do we start You will start in a hallway leading the the dragons lair, you will have few minutes to prepare before the battle begins. You have all your resources at full. The cave is enormous with many stalagmites and the dragon's lair has active lava flows going through it. It is really hot in there and it is only getting hotter.
Facts about the Red End The two gold dragons have already given you a briefing about the red end. You know that he is a powerful spell caster and a red dragon. He is in a weakened state so his only resistance is to fire damage. He uses spells all the way to level 9, he uses metamagic, he has a immutable form, he cannot be charmed, frightened, paralyzed or stunned. Some spells he uses are Dark Star, wish, counterspell and power word stun. He has two different breath weapons fire and radiant.
They say that he was born when the first flame come to be. They say he is the incarnation of the fire plane itself, that he cannot die. That in the end he will be there to burn creation itself to ash. The Red End is the most ancient of beings, maybe not a dragon at all but fire and destruction incarnated.
He uses a heavily modified stat block of a great wurm. The dragon's goal isn't to annihilate you instantly, it likes to play with its victims, lean in to that and buy time for yourself. He has minions on call but prefer to act alone, be wary of the fire elementals.
