Let this live music show take you to a place where middle ages meets mid-eighties. Thomas Ignatius is the medieval alter ego of musician Tuomas Palonen. He writes and performs his music with his Casio CZ-101 synthesizer and electric guitar and sings in Latin. One of Finland's leading medieval scholars, Jaakko Tahkokallio, University of Helsinki, says Ignatius' music is "faithful to its medieval sources." Palonen's (or Ignatius') earlier work, situated in a less distant past, the 1970s, was shortlisted for the Teosto prize and received airplay in more than ten countries.
