Five psychologists from different fields discuss the intersection of larp and mental health: the portrayal and playing of mental health issues in larps, the mental and social demands larping puts on players, and the many ways larp can affect one's feelings and well-being. The panelists discuss pre-chosen topics for 60 min after which audience is encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts for 45 min.
Karolina Fedyk has a PhD in psychology and currently works in a laboratory researching memory and meta-cognition. Ira Nykänen works as a clinical psychologist in Helsinki Clinic for Intellectually Disabled and does hobbyist research on larp-related stress.
Mikko Heimola is a psychologist specialising in neuropsychology, and also constantly designing and organising larps. Julius Väliaho is a clinical psychologist working in schools in the municipality of Kouvola. Jukka Oksanen is a clinical psychologist who works as a teacher in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
