Historiallinen miekkailu on yhteinen nimitys kokoelmalle vanhoihin miekkailuopuksiin pohjautuvia taistelulajeja. Liechtenauerin koulukunta perustuu Johannes Liechtenauerin noin 1300- tai 1400-luvulla kirjoittamaan kryptiseen runoon ja myöhempiin sitä selventäviin teksteihin, ja tässä työpajassa keskitymme haarniskoimattomaan kamppailuun pitkämiekalla.
Miekkailuseura EHMS tarjoaa maskit ja miekat työpajan ajaksi. Toivomme, että työpajaan osallistuisivat vain yli 13-vuotiaat.

Historical fencing is a collective term for a number of martial arts that are based on centuries old fencing treatises. The Liechtenauer school of fencing is based on a cryptic poem written by master Johannes Liechtenauer during the 14th or 15th century, and this workshop concentrates on unarmored fencing with a longsword.
The fencing club EHMS will provide masks and swords for the duration of the workshop. We request that only over 13 year olds sign up.
You'll need comfortable clothes, shoes and a water bottle. We also recommend a spare shirt! Sign up at the info desk.
