Naval warfare from Warlord Games, set in the hottest battles of the Second World War. Take command of the priorly unrecognized hard workers, and sometimes the heroes, of all naval actions in all theatres, the Motor Torpedo Boats and Launches. These fast and small mostly wooden craft were used by almost all participants for a myriad of roles, from raiding enemy convoys or inserting commandos or spies at night to rescuing downed airmen from the sea. Usually armed with small arms or light cannon, their main armament in most cases were the torpedoes. A fleet of these small craft could sneak upon an unsuspecting merchant convoy, launch a salvo of torpedoes and escape into the safety of larger and better armed craft.
In Cruel Seas, the players take upon themselves to depict these battles between the vessels, either against the hapless tanker, other MTB or sometimes some more dangerous adversaries, like destroyer class ships. Gameplay is fast, unlinear and fun. The 1/300th scale miniature boats give a great impression of their real life historical counterparts.
