After the defeat of the Bandit Leader calling himself the Count, the City of Cawold enjoyed a brief boost in morale. However, the port is still closed, with the army commander refusing to allow entrance before he receives words from his superiors. With more refugees arriving daily, and no word from the Imperial capital, despair is threatening the city and its people. Before any other action can be taken, the morale of the city must be raised.

Having released the founder of the Company of Heroes from captivity, and rescued his daughter, the group is now ready for their first mission as members of the Company. The group must venture out to a remote temple site on the coast of the crumbling Empire, to recover a legendary artifact called the Pearl of Hope. Perhaps this relic of a religion of an age past could be the key to rally the people’s courage, in order to start organized resistance against the unknown invaders of the Empire.

A squad of imperial soldiers were dispatched to the rumored location of the Pearl, almost immediately after the invasion started. That was months ago, however, and there has been no word from the squad. Your task is to recover the Pearl, using any means necessary, perhaps finding out what happened to the Imperial squad in the process.

This game continues a story that started at Ropecon 2018, but you do not need to have played before to join. There are premade characters, and you do not need previous experience with D&D to play. If you want to help continue the story of the Company of Heroes you are most welcome.

The game is more story focused, although combat is likely to happen at some point. While nothing very disturbing will be explicitly described, there is a subtext of physical and psychological abuse in the scenario. Depending on the age and overall character of the players, this can be adjusted by the DM.

The game will be run in English. Due to the story-driven nature of the game, a good command of English is more important than a strong knowledge of game rules.

Game slogan: A D&D adventure, that continues the story of a group of heroes from Ropecon 2018.
