Creating a simple dungeon for a D&D session is easy, and the internet is full of tools for making maps, creating dungeon encounters and generating treasure for the PCs to loot. Anyone can create a dungeon. But not everyone can make a dynamic dungeon. During this presentation we take a look at classic tabletop dungeon design in D&D and OSR games to determine what really separates a memorable and intelligent dungeon from a mediocre and forgettable one – and perhaps we’ll be able to decipher how one can make their own dynamic dungeon.
