Bankruptcies of animation studios (In English)

During recent years, a number of Japanese animation studios have gone bankrupt. These studios include well established names like Manglobe and Studio Fantasia, but the list doesn't stop there. Why did this happen and does this mean that the whole anime industry is in trouble? In this lecture, I attempt to answer these questions and also explain how funding works in anime industry in general.
