In times of suffering and oppression, we mustn’t lose sight of hope – not the false hope of optimism and toxic positivity, but the hope that by acting together in community we can bring about radical change. Hopepunk is about fighting for, and earning, a better future. Together we will define it, discuss what it means for larp, and talk about how we can represent and embody it in the larps that we design and participate in. (This discussion is followed by ‘Creating hope together’, an optional workshop session focused on devising and developing hopepunk larp ideas.)
