Dark Academia: A Vivisection

People talk a lot about dark academia these days, but what is the genre really about? Who gets to go to magic university? And where is the university – in the UK or US, or can it be somewhere else? How does every professor have so much time to hang out with their students? And why is student feedback or course evaluation never mentioned? Where are the teacher protagonists? Two postdoctoral researchers discuss writing and reading in the genre of dark academia while also talking about their own experiences in academia.
