Apply to the Cosplay Performance Competition for Tracon (2025)

With this form, you can apply to compete in the Tracon's Performance Competition. You can participate in the competition as a solo, a pair or a group. If you participate with a pair or a group, please fill out only one entry together. Please read the rules before applying:Performance Competition.

Application is open until 22.6 at 23.59. Contestants will be selected based on the application and all applicants will be notified of the selections by 30.6 at the latest.

Competitor(s) information

Competitor's own personal information. Participants' personal information is processed only by the cosplay manager and the Main Auditorium/Stage production team. The information is used, for example, to register the ticket benefit to Kompassi and to communicate before and during the event. After the competition, the information is deleted. If you are participating as a pair or group, please write all participants names.

This name is used in competitions, for example in the competitor's introduction intro or in Tracon's social media posts.

The email address of the couple's or group's contact person to whom competition information will be sent.

There is no age limit for the competition, but please note that underage competitors must have a guardian's permission to participate in the competition. By completing the application, you confirm that as a minor competitor, you have a guardian's permission to participate in the competition.

We'll only use this number only if we need to reach you urgently during the event. Please use the area code (e.g. +358)

Snacks are available in Tracon's cosplay backstage greenroom. Please mention any allergies or special diets so we can do our best to offer something for everyone.

Selected contestants will receive a day ticket for the event. Day ticket entitles entry only on the competitor's competition day, but the day ticket can be upgraded to weekend ticket for a fee of €25. (Normal weekend ticket price 50€) If the competitor works at Tracon as volunteer, presenter or in another role that also includes an entry, the ticket benefit does not apply to them. We can only grant the ticket upgrade feature to those who have notified us in advance and who do not have other benefits that affect entry. The contestant ticket benefit is personal and cannot be transferred to others. If a competitor cancels their participation, they will also lose the right to a competitor ticket benefit.

You can notify your ticket and upgrade needs now or later, latest at 31.7.

Performance Details

Reference photos that we send to the judges. Cosplay costumes displayed in the competition are not evaluated separately. The costumes can therefore be purchased. However, costumes can be evaluated based on their suitability for the overall look and for the performance. The main thing is that the characters are recognizable. The photos must be of the high quality and there must be at least 1 official full-length image of the character. The use of fan art is not allowed. The images can be combined into a maximum of two-page PDF file. Name the file in the format name_reference.

A character photo for the intro that will be projected on the screen during the competitions as a reference for the audience. This image will not be sent separately to the jury. We recommend choosing an image that shows the character(s) completely. If possible, please prefer a PNG or JPG file. Name the photo name_intro

Tell us about the idea behind the performance, what inspired it and how you plan to bring it on the stage. What genre does your show represent?

At what stage are you at in your performance making? If you have anything to show us, such as costumes, soundtrack, rehearsals or work in progress photos, you can attach these to Drive or Dropbox and paste the link here. Remember to make sure your sharing settings are turned on so that our managers can open the link.

Are you planning to bring stageprops for your performance? Do you need chairs and tables from the event? This answer is not final, as this information will still be requested from selected competitors in the technical form later.
