Ever had an "I could write a novel" moment, but struggled to get it off the ground? Or are you in the middle of a draft and have found yourself hitting a wall? You're not alone.

It took me about 20 years to write my first novel. No, that is not an exaggeration. I hit so many road blocks along the way, but I finally got my story into the hands of beta readers. Looking ahead to my next novel, there is a lot I will do differently.

We'll take a look at the foundations of storytelling, analyse advice from professional writers, and explore best practises for sitting down in that chair and getting words on the page - all with the aim of getting that beta draft done and ready to share. It can be done!
